Bootcamp Details

Students will attend an intense 4-day online bootcamp in which we will get the applications and essays DONE!

• Fill out the college applications (Common Application, University of California Application, Other Applications)

• Waive FERPA rights to see recommendations on Common App and link application to Link Naviance Family Connection (if applicable)

• Decide whether to apply to any Early Decision, Early Action, or Restrictive Early Action colleges. 

• Complete a full checklist of all the college requirements, deadlines, and essay questions.

• Make the detailed Activity List/Resume using the format of the applications

• Do in-depth research into each college on the list, using the school’s own websites and materials.

• Write the “Why do you want to attend our college?” essays

• Write the Personal Statement or “Big” essay to be used for almost all colleges.

• Write the “Discuss an extracurricular activity” essay (if required)

• Write a “Discuss a community that has influenced you” essay (if required)

• Write any additional short answer essay questions

• Send check-in emails to admissions officers, asking basic questions in order to get into a dialogue. 

• Sign up for interviews (if possible); prepare for interviews; follow up with thank you notes

• Prepare portfolios, resume, and artist statements (if applicable)

• Prepare to send in applications.
