Monthly Workshop Details

Here's a sample of what students (and parents) will learn and accomplish during the monthly workshops:

  • How to choose the right class schedule to ensure balance and success.

  • How to utilize simple, proven techniques to improve grades immediately.

  • How to best prepare, organize and study for finals to allow students to keep or improve their grades

  • How to discover true authentic interests (even if a student already plays sports, is in theater, competes in robotics, etc.).

  • How to free up time to pursue these interests or improve an already established skill.

  • How to think much, much bigger to pursue opportunities.

  • Get mentors in any area to help take their skills and interests to the next level.

  • Set goals and create an actionable plan to reach those goals on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.

  • How to find and get the most interesting summer options that allow students to pursue their interests.

  • When and how to start preparing for the SAT/ACT and how to improve scores the quickest way possible.

  • Identify likes and dislikes in terms of academics, extracurricular activities, location, setting, types of students they want to be around, and a whole host of other factors to determine possible colleges where they can enjoy learning and developing.

  • Set up a detailed organization system and timeline to request all information from colleges including applications, test results, transcripts, recommendations, financial aid forms, essays, supplemental applications, continuing correspondence with the given schools, commitment letters and agreements, and of course acceptance letters as they come in!

  • Making detailed plans to pursue jobs, internships, or independent activities that allow to pursue genuine interests, while also helping them stand out as interesting applicants.
